COVID-19: A Digital Transformation History

The COVID-19 crisis has brought years of change to companies in a brief period. According to a McKinsey Global Survey, “companies have accelerated the digitization of their customer and supply-chain interactions and their internal operations by three to four years.”

How much has this increased adoption speed cost companies? In my last post, I explained how companies had created complex IT landscapes over time. Suppose the crisis has pushed companies to speed up digital adoption in crucial business processes. In that case, some IT landscapes are now even more complex and fragmented, and IT maintenance more expensive than a few months ago.

In one of my posts almost three years ago, Transform or die, I explained that companies must start with a digital transformation strategy to avoid building more complex IT environments, achieve their business goals, and increase digital interactions.

Hence, I strongly recommend creating and following a rapid business innovation method to keep playing hard in this digital age and not add complexity and fragmentation to IT landscapes. Once you have created, performed, and adjusted your innovation method, the next step is to adopt technology trends, especially Cloud Computing, because many of those trends are part of Cloud Computing offerings.

Serverless is one of my favorite solutions for Cloud Computing. Serverless can solve many IT problems, such as IT infrastructure maintenance, reduce Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), focus on business goals, and speed up solution development. So, go serverless as much as you can.

We hope you enjoyed this post. If you want to know more, pleaseĀ send us a line, we are happy to talk about technology and its benefits for daily life and companies.
